Welcome to the North Florida Daylily Society Web!

The North Florida Daylily Society welcomes your interest and encourages you to learn about the flowers that we consider to be the queen of the garden by following our links.  Our organization is dedicated to having fun and developing interest in daylilies.  There are over 55,000 cultivars in existence today and many more are added each year.  

The North Florida Daylily Society is recognized by the American Hemerocallis Society (AHS) and is a member of AHS Region 12.  Typical yearly events are monthly meetings September thru June and a daylily show and plant sale in May.  

The North Florida Daylily Society hosts monthly meetings from September through June each year  Meetings are held at the Orange Park Library on Kingsley Avenue on the second Sunday of each month at 2:15 PM.  We have a great line up of programs this year. A daylily show and plant sale are also held in May. If you love daylilies, the show is a must see event!  See our Events page to learn more about the annual show and information about our meetings.  Programs are presented by accredited members and active hybridizers.

Northeast Florida is home to a number of full time hybridizers and is close to many hybridizers in the central Florida area.  Many have gardens that are open for visitation.  A call ahead is advisable to ensure a successful visit. Have you ever needed to make a conversion so you could apply the correct amount of something to your plants?  If so, you may want to check out the Conversion Chart on our site.

If you are new to daylilies or an old hand in the garden, we hope you enjoy our site and will consider joining us at an upcoming meeting.
